Firstcut Lead Times
In the drop down box for Requested Lead Time, please choose the selection that best reflects your requirement. Lead times are expressed in business days from the time your order is accepted until parts are shipped and do not include transportation time.
Unlike our Protomold service, Firstcut does not currently charge a premium for expedited delivery and changing the Requested Lead Time will not affect price. The Requested Lead Time selection is used only to help us prioritize orders.
The Estimated Lead Time Field shows the best estimate of how long it will take to produce your parts under normal circumstances and is based on the estimated machining time per part, quantity and the assumption that everything works smoothly. It does not take into account our current workload. The Estimated Lead Time Field is part number specific and is calculated without knowledge of any other part numbers you may have quotes for, or may be ordering. While Firstcut has invested in significant machining capacity and can processes many parts in parallel, an order for a significant quantity of different part numbers may take longer to complete than the Estimated Lead Time for any individual part number. When placing your order there is an option for requesting that partial shipments be made.
After your order is placed you will receive an order confirmation that provides the estimated date(s) that your parts are expected to be shipped on.
While Firstcut routinely ships a very high percentage of orders within the Estimated Lead Times, they are estimates and there are is no guarantee that they will be met.
